Sir Peter Hendy, giving his first speech as Chairman of Network Rail at a Crossrail 2 stakeholder event in London, confirmed that journey time improvements to Stansted Airport and Cambridge are being taken forward as an option in the forthcoming Anglia Route Study which is due to be published next month.
